The Nervous System Reset
with Yellow Martin, Alison Petten
SAT MAY 2, 11 AM - 3:30 PM NDT (SAT MAY 2, 11 AM - 3:30 PM NDT)

The Nervous System Reset Workshop is a trauma-informed, evidence-based experience designed to help participants better understand how stress and trauma affect the brain and body. This workshop combines psychoeducation with practical, guided yoga and nervous system regulation strategies to support healing from PTSD, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation.

Participants will learn how trauma impacts the nervous system, how the body stores stress, and how breath, movement, and body-based practices can help shift the brain and body out of survival mode and into a more regulated state. The workshop is designed to be both educational and experiential, giving participants a deeper understanding of the science behind trauma while also providing practical tools they can begin using right away.

What Participants Can Expect

Participants can expect an evidence-informed workshop that brings together psychology, neuroscience, and yoga to support nervous system regulation and healing. Led by Registered Psychologist Alison Petten and Neuroscientist and Yoga Instructor Yellow Martin, this workshop combines psychoeducation with guided experiential practices. Participants will learn how PTSD and chronic stress affect brain and nervous system functioning, and how targeted breathwork, movement, and trauma-informed yoga can help regulate these systems and support recovery. The goal is to translate the science of stress and trauma into practical tools participants can use to calm the body, improve sleep, and build resilience in everyday life.
