Join Maria Hillier, Yoga Therapist C-IAYT, for a Therapeutic Yoga class to help with everyday anxiety and stress as we cultivate calm, equanimity and resilience. Taught with self-kindness and self-compassion in mind, this series offers attendees evidence-based practices that help to calm, nourish and down-regulate the nervous system including mindful and accessible yoga (gentle flow and restorative), breathing, meditation and relaxation tools such as Yoga Nidra and self-massage. Empowerment through knowledge of how the body, mind and nervous system responds to stress and relaxation will help guide students through each class.
This class is taught through a trauma informed lens with a focus on creating an inclusive and inviting space for everyone. No previous yoga experience is required and this class is suitable for absolute beginners.

-Yoga poses and sequences to cultivate calm, steadiness and inner peace
-Breathing practices and mindfulness techniques to help with anxious and stressful times on and off the mat
